Many alumni decide to access career advising to determine a new path, attend graduate school, or launch a job search in their chosen field.

I am a recent graduate, where do Brockport graduates with my major work?

Brockport students have been successful in obtaining employment and entering graduate schools after graduation. It is important to realize, however, that "placement" rates only identify a graduate's success in obtaining their first job. In this rapidly changing world of work, it is expected that people may have 10-12 different jobs and up to 3-4 major career shifts in their lifetime. Career Services is here to help students and recent graduates with developing life-long career development skills for their future.

I am considering going back to school, how can you help?

It is not unusual that the degree you received in your early twenties, does not fit where you are heading later in life. Or, you have decided you want to change careers, and you need credentials like a graduate degree to make that change. Whether it is additional coursework, or an undergraduate or graduate degree, Career Services can assist you in deciding the best course of action for you to pursue additional education.
