Key things to keep in mind

  • Make sure that clothing matches in color and style and comes together into an outfit. If this is not a skill of yours, we would be glad to help you in selecting the right outfit for you.
  • Be sure the clothing fits comfortably and is the correct size for your body. Can you sit, stand, shake hands, and move without exposing undergarments, or feeling stiff and confined?
  • Keep jewelry and accessories simple; they should complement both your outfit and the image you want to project. Avoid any pieces you might be tempted to nervously fidget with during an interview.
  • If you don’t typically wear high heels, an interview isn’t the time to start. You want to feel confident, and even if you’re sitting, if the shoes make you uncomfortable, it will show.
