The Self-Study Steering Committee of the College’s institutional reaccreditation is seeking your input on the Middle States Self-Study Design draft. The Self-Study Design is the first major document in the College’s efforts to reaffirm our accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The purpose of the Self-Study Design is to ensure a sound and comprehensive Self-Study process by articulating its goals, guiding questions, and major strategies. Through your participation, you will be helping SUNY Brockport develop a meaningful Self-Study, strengthen and sustain the institution, and demonstrate the College’s commitment to continuous improvement.
As SUNY Brockport endeavors to achieve its mission, the Self-Study process is a way to affirm and demonstrate the College’s compliance with the Standards of Accreditation, examine opportunities for improvement and innovation, and reflect on the College’s performance and progress in achieving institutional mission and goals.
The focus of the Self-Study narrative is on Institutional Improvement in the context of the standards. The narrative will report on major initiatives and demonstrate the ways in which the Building a Better Brockport strategic plan functions as a means to achieving, as our mission statement emphasizes, “excellence (through) growth, engagement, and transformation within an inclusive learning community.”
Throughout the Self-Study process, efforts will be made to engage the campus community in the analysis and recommendations in the Self-Study document. Please follow the "SUNY Brockport Self-Study Design draft April 2020" linked below to read the Middle States Self-Study Design draft and share your feedback and suggestions by Friday, May 15, 2020.
