Title IX & Clery Training for Faculty, Administrators and Staff

To ensure that all Title IX reports of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assaults, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking, are immediately investigated and addressed we are educating the campus community.

Denine Carr, JD, Title IX & College Compliance Officer, Dr. Karen Logsdon, Assistant to the VP, EMSA & Title IX Deputy and Chief Daniel Vasile, University Police will provide an overview on Title IX, NYS Article 129-B and Clery Compliance.

Trainings will be held on the following dates and times:

Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 10 – 11 am, Seymour Union, Rm. 119

Thursday, November 9, 2017, 11 am – 12:15 pm, Seymour Union, Rm. 119

Faculty and staff who receive complaints or have knowledge of sexual harassment or any form of sexual violence are obligated to report complaints to their department head or the Title IX Compliance Officer. The overall purpose of the Title IX Compliance program is to prevent sex discrimination on campus, promptly address reported issues, and limit the negative effects on the educational environment.

Faculty and staff who have knowledge of Clery-reportable crimes are obligated to call University Police at 395-2226. For more information, please review the Annual Campus Safety Report or the University Police Webpage.
