You Are a Mentor: Engaging Students in Career Development

The SERC, Eagle’s Lookout

9 am – 4 pm

Breakfast and lunch will be provided

“Since 2010, 86% of incoming freshmen have said that getting a better job represents a critical factor in their decision to enroll in college.” (Purdue-Gallup Index, 2016).

Explore techniques for talking with students about their career aspirations as well as techniques to help them get started on their way. The target audience for this program is faculty, staff, student employee supervisors, or any member of the Brockport community

who would like to be more comfortable talking with students about career options.

Additional resources available through Career Services will also be shared.

Presented by Career Services and made possible by the Investment Fund for Core Needs (IFCN). This session will be facilitated by Mark Danaher, past-president of the National Career Development Association.
